Coaching & Consulting
Practical, strategic support for artists, performers, theatre-makers, and arts organizations.
I help creative people strengthen their work, communicate their ideas clearly, and move projects forward with greater confidence. My approach combines artistic insight with practical strategy, drawing on more than fifteen years of experience as a playwright, composer, director, music director, producer, arts administrator, educator, and grant reviewer.
GRANTS & APPLICATIONS
I support artists and arts professionals preparing grants, fellowships, residencies, awards, and other competitive applications. I bring experience as both a successful grant applicant and a grant-review panelist.
Services may include:
• Application strategy and project positioning
• Artist statements, project descriptions, and bios
• Résumé and CV review
• Work-sample selection
• Developmental editing and feedback
• Interview preparation and submission planning
CREATIVE CONSULTING
I work with writers, theatre-makers, multidisciplinary artists, and arts organizations to clarify ideas, strengthen projects, and identify useful next steps.
Areas of support include:
• Play and musical development
• Story, structure, character, and thematic clarity
• Creative project planning and accountability
• Reading, workshop, and submission strategy
• Program and curriculum development
• Grant, communications, and editorial support for arts organizations
I help you understand what the project is trying to become and help you make deliberate choices about how to develop it.
SINGING & ACTING COACHING
I coach performers seeking greater confidence, specificity, and storytelling in auditions and performance.
Sessions may focus on:
• Musical-theatre audition preparation
• Song interpretation and acting through music
• Vocal technique and healthy production
• Repertoire selection and audition cuts
• Monologue and scene coaching
• Self-tape preparation
• College, conservatory, and professional auditions
As a music director, director, performer, and university instructor, I treat singing and acting as connected practices. Technique supports storytelling, and strong storytelling begins with clear choices.
